Wholesale Titanium Ring, Titanium Rings - Skin Reaction?
Q: Could someone who has experience with Titanium
share about any effects it may have on the wearer's
skin?
A:If I'm not mistaken, I saw a program on the discovery channel regarding
massive reconstructive applicance for cancer surgery reconstructions,
which were fastened into place by titainum snapps permanently afixed to
the bones... The plastic parts were literally "snapped into place"...
I also believe they discussed at length that titanium was readily
accepted by the body, so it would seem that it's a fairly inert
substance...
I personally have a Breitling watch, which is constructed of
titanium... If I let the watch get dirty in the band it's a problem
with dirt, not the material the watch is made of...
I make Titanium and Niobium Jewelry myself and yes, it is actually
probably the safest metal you can wear. It is used for replacement joints,
pacemakers, dental implants and some surgical tools for precisely that
reason-it is totally non-allergenic. It is used in bone parts because the
bone itself will actually graft to it like it was bone itself. We make
earwires for our earrings so that people who have problems can wear them.
All of the refractory metals are inert like this and used for such uses-
Titanium, Niobium, Vanadium, Tantalum and Hafnium, though the last three
are a bit expensive to work in, not to mention hard to find....
