What Pen To Use On Glossy Baseball Cards?

Q: I'm wanting to get some baseball cards signed when I go to the Braves spring training next month. All my cards are glossy and nearly every pen I've used either smears (black sharpie) or doesn't even work on the gloss (ball point pen, etc). Can anybody help with this problem?

A: -Try rubbin your cards lightly with an erased to dull the surface a little bit. Use non glossy cards or cards with little gloss: 1999 Topps Stadium Club Baseball is great as well as 1999 Topps Finest cards to use for autographs. Use a blue Sharpie or a blue overhead pen(vis a vis). -What you could also use is a bit of baby powder. Just sprinkle lightly until it covers the surface of the card and wipe out w/ a napkin or cotton. That is all you need. You can use a sharpie. The ink will not smear, beed or run. Try it. Take any common card and try it. Good Luck!
