What Is The Law On Sexual Harassment?

Q: What is the law on sexual harassment? I worked for a well-known retail store and this man they hired harassed the other employers and me. (The store was video taped so would not have been my word against his). I took it to my supervisor and he just sent him to another store because this Man had gotten hurt unloading a truck and they was afraid he would claim damages on them if they fired him for this. I would have still had to work closely with this man so I told them I was leaving and did. The understanding was that me leaving would not hurt my employment with this company. But now I can’t get a job anywhere because it looks like I just walk out on this company. So my question is can I bring suit on them and what is the time limit for this? State Florida

A: The time limit is two years and yes, you can being a suit against them although get a really good atty. because they will make it look like you werent going to file suit until you found that you cannot get a job elsewhere. They should have fired this guy you were not the only one he was harrassing so, they made a wrong choice, in your suit you could ask that he be fired and that you get your job back. Also, if you still talk to anyone else he was doing this too I would suggest you trying to get them to go in with you on this lawsuit. Just write down as much info as you can about what all he did, when, where etc
