Wedding Rings And Anniversary Rings ?
Q: Anyone know if it is traditional/acceptable practice for women to replace
their wedding rings with anniversary rings after they have been married for
10 years or longer?
A:That is something I have only heard in a DeBeers commercial. Best not to
take them too seriously on that count, as they've already made problems for
another poster.
As far as acceptable...well, if you and your wife agree on that and would
both be happy with it, then go for it.
I suppose one could replace their wedding ring if they want to. Personally, I
wear anniversary rings on my right hand instead. Same goes with mother's rings,
love rings, and we had great sex rings. ;-)
Boy, I would really piss them off. I only wear the one diamond, the one in
my engagement ring. I would wear it if it weren't a real diamond. I also
remember hearing diamonds described when I was tiny (apparently they were
the most beautiful thing in the world) and then feeling immense
disappointment on my first sighting of them. It was clear, and to me it
looked like glass. I would have to agree with Anne of Green
Gables...amethysts are prettier.
That would work too. Personally I think that the ring thing is
personal...and there isn't really a wrong answer. I know a couple whose
wedding rings aren't made of gold, silver, or any other metal. They are
tatoos around the finger...very pretty.
