Watch Shopping In Hong Kong?

Q: Where can i going shopping jewelry watch?

A:I've been in Hong Kong for three days. First impressions - there are a ton of high end watch stores around here. Rolex and Omega stores seem to be on every other block, and there are more than a few stores selling the really high end stuff. Makes me wish that I had an extra couple hundred thousand to spend on watches... I've hit a couple of the CityChain locations. Selection seems okay, lots of Seikos, Citizens, G-Shocks, etc. The prices seem nothing special, even assuming that a bit of bargaining might be able to bring them down. I hit the Temple Street Night market last night, which is supposedly the place to be to buy all sorts of stuff from vendors on the cheap. As far as watches go, I saw a lot of cheap no-name quartz. As far as 'name' knock offs, selection was pretty

much limited to Calvin Klein and Swiss Army. The interesting thing was every now and again I'd see a guy sitting at an empty table that had nothing but a sheet of paper on it. The paper had pictures of various Rolex models. I assume these are the guys that people buy fakes from, but I was surprised that there were no watches out for display. I guess the authorities have been cracking down on them? I was a bit disappointed with the night market: I was hoping to find somebody selling Seagulls, but I guess the brand has no cachet for the foreigners, so nobody bothers to offer them. Too bad. Oh well, there are a couple more open air markets for me to still check out...
