Q: Wanted - Project Management Course or software ?
I need to find a PM training course of about 50 hours duration that can be
bought as a package, or used seat-by-seat for an organisation that has to
provide PM training to a client.
The course should contain a reasonable amount of practical content and lean
towards contract and large procurement management projects if possible (but
not necessary).
A:-Through my company Analytic Project Management(APM), I present a
four-day course titled "Total Project Control: Theory & Management". In
addition, I also teach it several times a year through the Project
Management Institute's PMI Seminars 2000 and PMI Seminars 2001 series,
as part of the "Core Competencies" track. You can read a detailed

It was the highest-rated seminar at the Pittsburgh Seminars series last
year, and will be presented in 2001 at the PMI Seminars in San Diego,
Toronto, and Minneapolis. And as APM is a PMI Registered Education
Provider (R.E.P.), the seminar is worth 28 Professional Development
Units toward PMP certification, whether taken through PMI Seminars 2001
or directly through APM.
The course is based in the principles of PMI's Guide to the PMBOK, but
incorporates the new techniques and metrics of the TPC methodology. You

The course itself incorporates 12-15 hours of team-based case study
planning and implementation, and is provided for up to 20 students. It
teaches what I regard as the "core" of project management techniques.
