UPDATE - Sexual Harassment Charges Against Teenage Boys Stillstanding

Q: The boys, apparently inspired by the movie "Jackass," were accused in police reports of swatting girls on the bottom, grabbing girls' breasts on at least five occasions, teaming up to "dry hump" girls from both front and back, grabbing girls' breasts and genitals while engaging in what's known as "party boy" dancing mimicking sexual intercourse. " You keep posting this accusation, yet I can find no where that actually documents this. The one reference to something similar turned out to be a false statement made by one girl under duress who later retracted the statement (which retraction was apparently kept from the defense by the DA). Where is your cite for this?

A: Judge orders harassment trial for 2 boys Bottom-slapping case - Lawyers for the McMinnville middle-schoolers lose a bid to have all charges dropped Thursday, August 16, 2007 SUSAN GOLDSMITH The Oregonian McMINNVILLE -- The two boys in the Patton Middle School buttocks-swatting case will face trial next week after a judge Wednesday refused to dismiss sexual harassment charges against them. Ryan Cornelison and Cory Mashburn, both 13, will be back in court at 9 a.m. Monday for a trial that is expected to last a week. Defense lawyers say they plan to call the alleged victims to testify and hope to play a montage

of video surveillance from inside the school's hallways. But Collins also decided that statements made by alleged victims to Roache are admissible. The charges name four girls as victims of harassment. Two counts allege that the boys touched a girl's breast, and the remaining seven counts involve allegations that they slapped girls on their buttocks. In the police reports, two of the girls said Mashburn and Cornelison repeatedly touched them over a number of weeks even though they had been asked to stop. The same two girls have filed notices saying they may sue the Yamhill County School District for failing to stop an "ongoing course" of sexual harassment.
