Typing Courses In Warwickshire
Q: Apologies if this sounds a bit 'Oirish' (but I am). I've just bought one of
those Microsoft Natural keyboards and it's highlighted how rubbish I am at
typing. If you don't know what I mean, they're the ones with the keyboard
split into two angled segments. I've always wanted to be better at typing
because, being a desk-bound engineer, I write a lot of rubbish......er I
mean reports.
Has anyone got any recommendations for good typing courses around
Kenilworth/Cov/Leam/Warwick. I could do an internet search for what's
available, but I wondered if anyone had any recommendations, based upon
personal experience.
Alternatively, has anyone used these software 'typing tutors and are they
any good?
A:-I used Mavis Beacon typing for a while. It's pretty good to be quite
honest, and does progress your typing skills quite quickly.
I only gave up with it becasue I sold the computer it was on - and
forgot to keep it! They can't help with being daft - so be warned
-There was a very good book that used to be published by Penguin called
the "five hour keyboarding course". I am not sure if it is still
available.
I worked my way through the book. In a very short space of time, I
was able to build up my typing speed to around 95 words per minute.
I would recommend the book.
