True Stories: Women In Trouble For Sex Harrassment

Q: Where I work HR enacted sex harrasment laws and a dress code. And what happens is that women started turning in other women. Older women go to HR and complain that the younger women are dressed to risque. Or the wealthy types complain about the trashier-dressed ones. One woman even turned another in for (get this) TALKING ABOUT LINGERIE!!!! At last count, since they instituted the policies, all but one of the 10-15 people cited have been women. (The lone guy was some old dude who put his hand on a woman's shoulder. He did that to everyone. He was like 6'5" tall and I guess needed to balance. They even sent one woman home - clear cross town - because she was wearing something too low cut. This is called being shot with your own gun. Laws designed to "protect" women are now inconveniencing them. This is progress?

A: That's more than ok. When you post a personal story you don't want to expose, your other option is to provide proof from another source. For example, I told a personal story some time back about my neice who is a scientist. Folks may or may not believe that, so I also provided info on other female scientists to make the same point. that women are now working side by side with men in science. This is not a lie - it's

not SO>outlandish, after all...here's what's been happening. No problem; all you have to do to prove that women are in all this trouble for SH is to show us proof. You need not name your own personal details, but you do need proof if you want to convince people with brains. Where I work HR enacted sex harrasment laws and a dress code. And what happens is that women started turning in other women. Older women>go to HR and complain that the younger women are dressed to risque. I don't believe you. And, it's "too" risque. Even if one case like that occured, one case does not make much of a statement, and you haven't even provided us a certifiable case.
