Toronto Weather
Toronto weather is a delight to residents and tourists alike. With a comfortable blend of sunshine and cool temperatures, people find it easy to work and play year-round in this moderate climate. Temperatures in summer can rise, but 70’s and 80’s are not uncommon. This makes it ideal for water sports, hiking, or sightseeing in and around the Toronto area. The North Atlantic can sometimes be affected during the hurricane season, so seasonal thunderstorms are not unusual. Likewise, since the Gulf of Mexico has experienced ongoing warming trends in its currents, occasional storm remnants follow prevailing winds to make their way into this northern region on occasion. When the weather is extra hot and dry, a wildfire watch or alert may be issued. There are also sites that monitor insect populations, farming conditions, and park climate zones so people can prepare accordingly. Pollution and pollen are two more indicators worth watching during the warmer months. In the winter, expect below-freezing temperatures during the coldest months. That doesn’t stop the brave in heart from hitting the slopes or the frozen lakes for vigorous exercise and occasional competition.
