The Trade Show Booth: From Background To Standing Room

Creating a trade show booth can seem like a daunting task, but with a little reality planning, the show can go off without a problem. It’s necessary to find out how much space is to be allotted for your booth. If you have an option about the space, do a little planning before you decide. Bigger isn’t always better. If you end up with little to fill the trade booth area, the extra space can literally seem like a let down to potential customers. Empty space, after all, is not very exciting. By the same token, too little space can mean those who work the trade show booth are too close together. Without enough room, bumping into each other and into the props used in the trade show booth becomes an issue. If the workers manage to knock over the background board, they will become the center of attention for those few minutes. That’s definitely not the best kind of attention. There are companies that provide background boards. There are several options, including the shape. Most are designed to stand alone. Some provide both a background and a side to the trade show booth. Again, the amount of space will greatly

impact the style of background board used. If the space is extremely limited, a tabletop display board can be used. These have the advantage of being easy to transport and set up. The disadvantage is that they have a more limited space for displaying information, and limit the ability to change the display for future shows. Consider that a table top display will be too tall for visitors to the trade show booth to see over. Therefore, this kind of display becomes the background. That means trade show booth workers will be stationed in front of the table. There will be little place to store extra materials – brochures for example – within easy reach and still out of the public view.
