Texas A M Class Ring, Am I The Only One?
Q: Doggone it! I've looked high and low but have not been able to find them.
I have several rolls of War Nickels around here somewhere. I wanted to
examine them to see if I have a 43/42 overdate in the bunch, but I'll be
darned if I can find them. Just wondering here if I'm the only one who
misplaces numismatic items from time to time... (Don't ever get old, folks!
It's not fun to be "losing it!")
A:In the 70s or early 80s sometime I bought a holographic Saint. It was what
it sounds like. An actual size round glass hologram of a $20.00 Saint in a
bezel on a chain. I don't remember where I bought it. Probably at a coin
show. It was very cool at the time. The other day, digging through a box, I
found the leaflet that came with it, explaining what a hologram was, how
they made it, and so on. Thing is, I can't find the thing itself, just the
literature that came with it. I've also been trying to find my Class of 1967
High School ring, 18k, paid $43.00 for it that year. Our graduating class
was 450 people, half guys, and not all of them bought class rings. So fewer
than 200 of them exist for that High School for that year. Huge ring, 18k
(these days those are so expensive that most class rings are 14k or 10k)..
big red stone in the middle of it. My fingers got fatter in college, so I
put the ring somewhere and haven't seen it since. It would be worth serious
money
