Teacher Sexual Harrassment
Q: A girl student at a high school has
been suspended for harrassing a 33-year-old male teacher. What happened was
that she was telling other students about her love for the teacher, how she
planned to marry him, and was generally disrupting classes with her activities.
Other teacher warned her, but she kept on. The teacher who was the object of
her affections said his life was being made miserable and it was difficult for
him to teach.
As a teacher, I am well aware of how these crushes can disrupt a class or even
a school. I certainly support the school expulsion of this student. She is now
enrolled in a local community college.
A: I feel like girls who do this kind of witchcraft give all women a bad name, and give society, (both men and other women) to the eviidence to continually discount women in general. My old age has taught me a whole bunch about people, and I suspect the little gal lacked a strong loving father figure to expect her to take the high ground morally.
