Stud Earrings
Getting your ears pierced can be a scary ordeal, especially when it's time to pick out the stud earrings you will be using. The stud earrings used in piercing have a larger, wider post than regular earrings and seeing the difference next to a standard pair of earrings is almost enough to make you change your mind. The stud earrings have to stay in the piercing for at least six to eight weeks, to allow the piercing to heal. Once the healing process is over, you are free to remove the stud earrings and start wearing normal earrings. Stud earrings are not entirely bad though. I remember, many moons ago, when stud earring choices were limited to three or four styles. There was the diamond stud earring, the plain stud in silver or gold, the star stud and the heart stud. Thankfully, over time and with the increase of body piercing, the stud earring selections have improved somewhat. Stud earrings also come in different shapes. Once commonly thought of a small ball on a post, stud earrings have taken the form of hoops, even though these starter hoops are more suitable for body parts than for ear piercing. When you choose what kind of stud earring you are going to go with, keep in mind that you will be wearing that set of stud earrings for six to eight weeks, and never removing them. You will obviously want to pick a stud earring that can go from work, school and play without looking strangely over or under dressed.
