Statistics On Teen Depression. Questionable Questions ?
Q: Last year, some parents in Flagler County may not have realized their kids were
screened, as they did not need to sign anything to allow it. 575 9th graders
were screened using the controversial passive consent form. Due to legal issues,
this year the procedure was changed, and a form was sent home to be signed by
the parent or guardian in order for their child to be screened. Along with the
form, the parents were also sent information detailing the dangers of teen
depression if left untreated, and some statistics on teen suicide, which is
reported to be the 3rd leading cause of death among teenagers.
A:We decided to look at records obtained from the Medical Examiner’s office for
our own area. Since 2000 there have been 2 teen suicides in the three counties
of St. Johns, Putnam and Flagler. Both teens had previous suicide attempts and
both were already undergoing psychiatric treatment at the time of their deaths.
So it is doubtful that the TeenScreen program would have helped avoid these 2
tragedies.
The Scientology 'personality test'. Can't get more questionable than that.
Chumming for suckers. "Find their ruin", "Scientology can help with that".
A fraud test for a fraud religion.
"Wanna join a stupid cult? Take this here test."
Questionable questionnaire, questionable cult,
questionable quackery.
