Silver Puzzle Ring, Help Me Solve My Puzzle :)

Q: I've tried twice to post but I guess attachments aren't allowed :). I've got a puzzle that has my mind twisted and can't seem to get my mind wrapped around it. It is classified as "hard". It's one of those puzzle that has a string attached to a metal piece and of course, there' the ring that you have to get out :) If anyone is interested in seeing a picture of it, I've put pictures of the puzzle at : http://www.geocities.com/aunst8_2000/PuzzlePage.html

A:1. Untie one end of the rope (use a knife to help if needed). 2. Remove the ring. 3. Retie the rope. :-) Or look toward the bottom left of this page: http://unclespuzzles.com/severe.html If you agree that a solution to "Rope" would meet your needs as well, then mail the guy at that site and maybe he'll get you a solution. I've solved it, but it's

hard to describe how. The first step is to push that smallest ring through that one hole, just as you'd expect... BUT you push it through from the other side! Then hook it over the bumpy thing (and one end of the rope) and pull it back through the same hole. Bring the smallest ring all the way back around and the solution might kind of present itself. One way to solve this puzzle is to put a ring on, then reverse what you just did. Best use a keyring type that can then be easily removed. I can only solve those types of puzzles by working on them myself by hand. Looks like you might have to stuff it between the metal loop there or something...sorry.
