Scientologist Attorney Don Knapmeyer - Obituary

Q: Don Knapmeyer was born and grew up in the state of Kentucky. He practiced law in Erlanger, KY for many years. While an attorney in Kentucky, he became interested in scientology and became a generous financial contributor to CofS-related charities. He said that he donated almost a million dollars of his earnings and loans for scientology services and charity groups. So devoted was he to that cause that while an attorney in Kentucky, he was forced to declare Chapter 7 bankruptcy, because his resulting debts became uncontrollable. He later moved to Clearwater, Florida to take services at the Flag Service Organization and help the Office of Special Affairs with legal matters that organization got involved in. As an attorney helping the CofS in Clearwater, Don committed a number of vicious, unethical deeds against former members that OSA considered were enemies of their cause. Yet, Don was a southern gentleman with a foundation of principles. His revulsion to the breaches of his own integrity in helping OSA began to eat away at him. He would only tell his most trusted friends about his misgivings. Don then became seriously ill and was diagnosed with amyloidosis. He had $80,000 on account at the Flag Service Org and went to them for help. He attempted to get assist auditing, but was told that he would not be allowed on the Flag Land Base because it would be out-public relations. He was directed to the Tampa Org. There, he was viewed as a sick, vulnerable old man and was regged for $40,000 on the promise that he would receive assist auditing. His suffering in this life came to an end. No longer would he be coerced to harm decent people the CofS regarded as enemies. No longer would he be bilked out of large sums of money to feed the vampire racket known as the church of scientology. Don was betrayed by the very same folks he selflessly worked to help. What do you think in this case?

A: -"Scientologists believe that most human problems can be traced to lingering spirits of an extraterrestrial people massacred by their ruler, Xenu, over 75 million years ago. These spirits attach themselves by "clusters" to individuals in the contemporary world, causing spiritual harm and negatively influencing the lives of their hosts" Memorandum Opinion Judge Leonie Brinkema "the Court is now convinced that the primary motivation.. in suing Lerma, ...is to stifle criticism of Scientology in general and to harass its critics. " What do we get from getting people out of scientology? We create an individual who has become a Houdini of all mind traps.. folks who won't be fooled again. People who can DE-program,

People who can spring mental traps.. We create, by freeing someone of scientology, a being who has the ability to break the strongest slave chains of all. Those forged of lies. (c) Arnaldo Lerma Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities Voltaire (1694 - 1778) -My sincere condolences to the family of this Nth victim of the criminal cult. If ever he has a kid who is attorney, he should attack the cuolt and ask a refund. Don Knapmeyer seems to have had somewhat a similar "progression" in the crime cult as Albert Jacquier, or as Greg Bashaw and many others who were betrayed heavily by the hubbard, then by the dwarf and his troops
