Satellite Television Versus Cable

Satellite television has given cable television a run for it's money by allowing customers more flexibility in their programming options than traditional cable companies can allow. What's more is that the pricing of the satellite television, and the flexibility it offers is comparable, and in some cases more affordable. The type of programming offered by satellite television is virtually the same as cable television. The major news networks, sports networks, movie networks, they are all the same. After all, many of these networks, use satellite signals to transmit their programming to the cable companies, who in turn sends the programming back to you. In the early days of satellite television, it was not uncommon to be able to watch programming that would be considered part of a premium cable package. Eventually, the networks realized that people were able to view the programming without having to pay and efforts

were made and accomplished to scramble the signals that carried the programming. The purchasing of the descrambling receiver, as well the actual satellite dish, which was very large, and the monthly fee for accessing a satellite network made the idea of satellite television less enticing. As time passed, and technology fine-tuned the satellite television industry, popularity of satellite television has increased. Dish sizes are much smaller, the choices of programming have increased, and the actual costs have decreased tremendously. The competition between satellite television and cable television is increasingly becoming fiercer and consumers are starting to get their moneys worth.
