San Francisco Dui Lawyer
Q: Can anyone of you tell which movies Anthony Hopkins has starred in as a person of a nationatlity different from his own (British)... I can think of four..... I nearly forgot..I can think of five now... Anyone??? I can think of just one right now -- and it really stands out for me because it seems so ridiculous now to remember him frolicking in the hot tub with Bo: he was an American in either A Change of Seasons or Changing Seasons.
A: I cannot remember whether he played a Britisher or not, but Anthony Hopkins was also in an excellent made-for-TV movie that dates somewhere from the late '70s or very early '80s. As usual, I can't remember the name. His costars were Blythe Danner and Swoozie Kurtz. He plays a wealthy, famous San Francisco criminal lawyer plotting to murder his wife. This is a very sly, tricky little movie with many unexpected plot twists. It was done by the same people who made the TV movie with Hal Holbrook and Katherine Ross about the philandering wife plotting to murder her mentalist husband. Every bit as good.
