Sales Training Required To IT Newcomer
Q: Does anyone know of any genuinely useful training sites for a newcomer to IT?
I have some sales experience, but very little Basic IT knowledge. I am curently
working for a small company & have so far looked at Powerpoint presentations
for SBS 2003. Someone must be familiar with some sites which could assist me
in my quest for knowledge...
A:-the microsoft partner site
are you guys a partner?
They also have the certified small business specialist - that should
give you a good idea about features available on sbs2003.
-If you are looking at administering Windows Small Business Server, I
recommend that you go for a Microsoft Official Course. There is one being
offered by any Microsoft Certified Partner for Learning Solutions entitled
Designing, Deploying, and Managing a Network Solution for the Small- and
Medium-sized Business. This is a 3-day course which offers you both the
luxury of a hands-on lab and a trainer you can always ask. If you are
looking at IT Sales training, I recommend that you learn what particular
product you need to sell. Like if you are selling hardware, know the basics
of how it works and how it affects IT in general. If you have read books
like The Secrets of Closing the Sale by Zig Ziglar and Guerilla Selling, the
key thing in sales is knowing your product and knowing your customers -
whether IT or not.
