Portable CD Player

Portable CD players are still a preferred method of portable musical entertainment for many people. Although the portable MP3 player has steadily gained momentum in recent years, the CD player is still a favorite for many of today’s teens. In an effort to compete with MP3 players, the portable CD players are making many efforts to cancel the skipping problems that it has most commonly suffered with. Most of today’s portable CD players are able to play burned CDs as well as regular CDs, which helps to keep people’s interest. Portable CD players have many features these days that just can’t be found on MP3 players. Some of these features include: * The ability to record music from the radio while in transit * Links ups to satellite radio stations * Links to wireless radio networks * Access to AM/FM radio stations For all of the great things that MP3 players can do, there are still some that it can’t and for that reason it is sometimes better to stick with old technology. MP3 players have to use a internet or PC hook up in order to add new music item to it whereas today’s portable CD players don’t. MP3 players can’t access satellite radio stations either, which they may be able to do someday but not today. For

all of the things that MP3 players can do, sometimes too much technology leaves you trapped within your own spectrum. Some MP3 players do not allow you to remove songs once they are recorded. CD players give you a great deal of choices among your musical needs. However, it can be inconvenient to carry around different CDs all the time, but the portable carrying cases are making it a bit easier and for the student that has to carry large back packs etc. this is not really a problem. Most of the today’s teens prefer to have both an MP3 player and a portable CD player on hand because it just makes them have a choice between which method is best for the day that they have ahead.
