Paper For Business Card
Q: Paper for Business Card I have an inkjet printer and I want to print some business cards. Could somebody tell me what brand is the best in terms of paper quality? I would like the BC to be as crisp as possible.
A: -I believe another way to do it is to just use regular card stock and then cutter it your self using a paper cutter. If you have Photoshop, I have also seen some really nice cards printed on photo quality paper at Walmart or Costco. -sniff, sniff, oh dear, inkjet!, what is the world coming to? $50 is quite a bit if you want to try a few different designs or need to produce just a few cards. So what if they look like inkjet? For proofing and creating quick 'special purpose' cards I find some of the pre cut stock very good. I've used several brands I'd never heard of before, from my local stationers. If I need to spend that $50, I'll take them down to the printers a few doors away -- thats when I need the good cards, and several hundred at that. I printed them on an Epson 1290, and very crisp they were too! I found that the card took a fairly light ink load if you wanted best text. If you do get pre-cut card, look for layout templates, since creating them can be a bit hit and miss with some printers.
