Online Music Degree?

Q: i need a bit of advice from the pro's here, i'm looking for a DL degree / RECOGNISED qualifaction in music. I'm in the UK, so online or even postal uk degree would be great. Any American online music degrees would be welcomed. Price? I would be willing to part with a good amount of money - how much i'm not sure yet, but if the degree is recognised i'll look at it.

A: Your best bet is likely to be your own Open University, which does have a Bachelor's in music. Otherwise, I see from the subject index to the 14th edition of Bears' Guide that there are wholly nonresident Bachelor's degrees in music also available at Excelsior College, Judson College, the University of New England, the University of Saskatchewan, and the University of South Africa. Considering that Apple makes next to nothing on the iTMS and what it does make comes from hardware, the iPod. In fact, most of the profit from iTMS

goes to the record companies. So, how is iTMS having a hold on the market? If anything, they've increased sales of online music. "The report says that digital music market grew by 275 percent in 2005 to just over $500 million and that customers spent additional $150 million or so on music subscription services." However, this same article also says, ""The iPod's success is holding back subscription services "to a tremendous degree at this point," according to the analyst." IOW, the analyst wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants music purchased(iTMS) to stay what it is and grow, while also having subscription music make more money.
