Online Degree???

Q: How valid are online degrees I am contemplating taking an online university Is it the same with a traditional university degree?

A:An online degree from a legitimate school is as valid as any other legitimate degree. Likewise, an online degree from a bogus school is just as worthless as a classroom degree from a bogus school. What school(s) did you have in mind? I have recently spent a lot of time researching accredited online degree programs for working adults. I am a small business owner working 12 hour days and needed to find something that would allow me to get a reputable degree while working around my schedule. I decided to go with the University of Phoenix online program. I am so impressed with the program thus far that I thought I'd share my experience with others considering an online degree program. They have an excellent financial aid program and my only out of pocket expenses have been my course books. Here are a couple of links that you may find useful: University Of Phoenix Free Student Information: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/newestrelease/university.html A Place to get info on several of the most popular online programs: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/newestrelease/dis.html You would be more effective as a shill for U of Phoenix if you bothered to actually answer the guy's question.

He wanted to know if an online degree was valid, not the name of a school that offered crappy online degrees for way too much money. You will find that most online degrees that come from accredited universities are not 100% online. While most of your work is computer based, you will still have an in-class meeting time, usually once a week for about 4 hours. I think a lot of people have the misconception that an online education is not the same as what you would get from a traditional university when the fact of the matter is that they are very similar. The major difference being that they are scheduled for people who have jobs and can't attend class five days a week.
