Nursing Master Degree Program, CGFNS VsHigher Degree In Some US University
Q: I am a registered nurse from India who wishes to fly to US for nursing
job. When i was exploring all the option where i am stuck is :
1: Shoud i go for CGFNS and then try for a job ??
2: Should i go for some higher education in US university in Nursing
only and then try to get a job. ??
Now why i am at 2nd option which doesn't seem to be more common in
India :
1: My English is not very very good . It is just average (Which i think
will improve if i live in US for soem time)
2: I dont think i can clear CGFNS in less than 1.5 yrs of study .
3: Here are many Institutes which give training for CGFNS exam and then
they ask for some bond. And also have heard of some lies that go behind
scene in this process.
Also what i was thinking is, this reduces my chances of getting GOOD
JOB . I agree that there are lot of vacencies in Nursing in US but i
still feel that to get the PERFECT JOB is not that straight forward.
Also by studying in US my chances will be more and i can have job
options to chose from some options rather than fall prey to those
recruiting institutes from India which will send me to whereever job is
avaliable through there contract(which may be inconvenient to me ).
(according to my knowledge They give only one option for a job and we
dont have any choice)
A:You will not only have to pass CGFNS/Visa Screen, but also the NCLEX. Your
english has to be very good to pass both.
If it takes a yr and a half then you have problems, it will take another yr
and a half to make it through the NCLEX.
Perfect Job, millions of em, that's why there are so many unfilled
positions, people are beating down the doors.....NOT!
I did find info about CGFNS but Noone helped me to explore second
option
Getting Higher education in Nursing in US and then try for a job . Or u
mean even if i take some education there i still have to give CGFNS coz
my previous nursing (whr i did my diploma) was in India. Doesnt higher
education in US will make me stand by other US Nurses .?? What will be
