Nursery Furniture
Today’s nursery furniture is far too sophisticated for a baby these days. Baby’s seem to have better furniture in some cases than adults do. It is not that modern baby furniture is more advanced than it used to be; we are still giving those cribs and bassinets and changing tables. It is just more ornate and fancy than it used to be. Nursery furniture is now lined with gold inlay and marble. Some cribs even have overhead canopies and motor controlled rocking mechanisms. All of this may sound good until you look at the price. Because nursery furniture is more technologically modernized and more ornately designed, so are the prices far higher to compensate for it. Nursery furniture is generally by most parents for about a year or so before it is packed away or resold. The likelihood of selling an expensive item is just as possible as you giving it away. You practically have to be rich to be able to afford nursery furniture these days. Perhaps it is for this reason that discount store chains like Wal-Mart are so popular. They often sell you nursery furniture knock offs of pricier items for a fraction of the cost. That may not sound too appealing, but for the average family, this is a great deal; especially if they have one or more children already. Baby furniture now offers more than just cribs, bassinets, and dressers. These days, nursery furniture has expanded to include; rocking chairs, armoires, changing tables, toddler beds, miniature picnic and drawing tables, and vanity dressers and mirrors. Some nursery furniture is simply a miniature version of adult bedroom furniture. Cribs are now being made so that they can be converted into toddler beds as the children grow. That is very interesting. Shopping for nursery furniture can be
