No Credit Check Needed

Be wary of any company touting the slogan “no credit check needed.” While not all are bad, some are set up solely to take advantage of those that have no other choice than to go with a company that doesn’t perform credit checks. These companies often will allow you to get a loan, cell phone or any other item that normally requires a credit check, with just basic information about yourself. The downside is that you will usually get hit with huge interest payments and deposits that make these types of deals insane. There are some companies that are reputable and will provide their services to consumers with no credit check beforehand. So, the best thing to do when you’re deciding whether to go with one of these companies or not is to do your homework. Research the company, read the fine print and ask around from your neighbors and friends. Find out if the company is legitimate and if they have any complaints. If they pan out, sign

up and try to start building credit of your own. To stop having to purchase from companies that offer “no credit check needed” deals, you have to get your credit back on track. The best way to do this is with a credit card. If you don’t have a good enough score to get a card, get one that allows you to send in a deposit. Once you have proven that you can pay your balance on time, your limit will slowly increase and your credit will build. You should get a credit report about every six months to see how much your credit score has risen. You don’t want to be under 600 and even that score isn’t considered very good. So, consistently make payments and you will have good credit soon.
