Network Settings
Your computer undoubtedly plays an important role in your life. Whether you use it as a single entity or link it with others to form a network, you will need to be sure it is set up correctly and able to perform the functions that you want it to. One thing to check right off the bat is your network settings. It isn’t hard to do if you find a manual or a Website that provides easy to follow guidelines. Icons on your computer’s operating menu probably include one called something like “My Network Places” or “Network Neighborhood.” To check your 3Com Sitestar settings, for example, right click on this once to open a menu of services. If you are unable to find it here, go to the computer’s “Control Panel” and click on “Network.” Then double click on the TCP/IP adaptor. Next, choose “DNS-Configuration.” This will launch your 3Com cable modem quick setup. Other computer setups will follow a similar pattern. Often the setup instructions and follow them as outlined.
