Need Assistance On Michigan Divorce Form

Q: My wife and I are divorcing. We have a nine year old daughter. We are on very friendly terms and have agreed on everything. This feels a little unusual because I always thought divorce was a bloody battle. I am happily surprised that this isn't true in my case. Anyway, the reason I am writing is because I am filling out the forms myself for our divorce and am stuck and could really use some assistance. The form I'm stuck on is the Judgement of Divorce (form CC 427c). This form has three pages and the section which is giving me a hard time is under question number 21. It reads like this: IT IS FURTHER ORDERED: That they shall pay support (which includes per week contribution toward child care costs), in advance of each week, through the Office of the Friend of the Court, in the amount of ( ) per week for the minor child, until 18 years of age or further Order of the Court. I am not certain what I should put in each of the three blanks. Is this where I enter how much I think I should pay each week? If so, how should I calculate this? My wife makes more than twice as much as I do. My daugher will be living with my wife. Does anyone know what is supposed to go here? If so, I would be very grateful if you could let me know please.

A: - If you have information and/or statistics on divorce and the children of divorced parents, please don't hesitate. These information can be only the way divorce procedures and child custody are handled (or mishandled) in your neck of the wood. If you wish, I can tell you what goes on in Québec City (Canada)

in exchange -the first blank is the Noncustodial parent. You need to reach an agreement on how much $$ goes toward child care - probably 1/2. You will need to find a calculator to figure out how much the NCP should pay. I found a book at the bookstore with all the scoop and forms in it - it was specifically for Michigan divorces. I cannot remember the name but I'm sure if you asked the clerk could help you. Keep in mind that you will probably have to have an offical meeting with friend of the court if you decide to go that way. They will look at both your incomes and expenses (daycare) and decide how much should be paid. Some people choose not to go through them.
