Need Advice-Fellow Car Accident Persons ???

Q: Well as most may know i was injured in a car accident on Dec 1998 and have long lasting injuries and now chronic pain. My question to the group is this... Did it go to trial? Did you have as good of an outcome that you and your attorney thought? How long did the entire process take? Did you get compensated for your chronic pain that you will now have forever? I recieved papers from my Attorney to fill out, they are papers that the other drivers Attorneys need, called Interrogatories. Some of the questions were hard to understand in my doped up state but i called my attorney and he answered everything for me. I guess im just extra bummed and overwhelmed and depressed because 1 of the questions had me list ALL of my injuries, ALL of my ongoing pain, everything that i am now unable to do etc etc. And i knew i had alot of pain and problems because i battled to stay ahead of them everyday, but to have to write it all down and see it ALL on paper was very overwhelming and sad.

I am a fellow chronic pain sufferer and a personal injury attorney. I will try to answer some of your questions: A lot depends on what state you are in. Each state has different laws. Therefore timing can be different. In my practice approximately 5% go to trial. Usually if it is good case (I should say good in view). I settles. That is when there is clear liability on the other driver and the injuries are not disputed by the other side. In my practice approximately 5% go to trial.
