Wife quits college to marry and raise 4 children 2. Wife is married, one time, to one man, for 30 years. Totally faithful in every way. 3. Husband had an affair about 7 years ago, but wife stays married. 4. Husband has another affair and annonces that he is leaving. 5. PI is hired and has the needed proof. 6. Husband moves out of Maryland a few months after the seperation, to another nearby state. 7. House is in Husbands name, but wife put down her own money. 8. Husband is playing tough, denying everything

A: -I could say something flippant, like: She'll get what any woman gets... "half the money

and all the pussy." But being a more respectful person, I would simply guess that she could claim permanent alimony (length of marriage) and a 1/2 share in the house (marital asset), plus 1/2 of all other assets (savings, pensions, frequent flyer miles). But I'm not licensed to practice law in Maryland, and she really does need to see a lawyer. - Not only am I not licensed in MD, I'm not a lawyer period. On the other hand, I do live in MD. Roger's summary is in line with what my experience says. -NO KIDDING, she needs to see a lawyer, but I was asking for what people have actually experienced....it seems only divorced husbands prowl the divorce support group...
