Nailed By EZ Pass In NJ

Q: Nailed by E-Z Pass in NJ ? Last month the SO and I took a little ride to the Joisey shore and used the EZ Pass gizmo from her car for the GSP tolls. This week we get a letter with a $25.00 fine saying we blew through the Asbury Park toll plaza (plaza....isn't that a lovely name for an effen toll barrier?!) They include with this, a little picture of my cycle with the plate visible. Of course, what is also visible, is my wife on the back, holding up the EZ Pass gizmo as we go through. Astonishingly, a phone call to those fine folks that bring good things to life (such as toll barriers on hiways) clears the matter up and they say don't send any money, we'll take care of it. They also indicated that they are sending us a new gizmo, which is especially for use on motorcycles. Supposed to have a wider transmitting area or something. Anybody have any experience with these auto theft, uh I mean payment devices?

A: -E-Z Pass... I thought that was a laxative. - Now, don't take any personal offense to this, Bob but, up yours. NJ is just as splendid or disgusting as any other state...and is superior to the mental state that you were obviously in when you wrote what you just did. I applaud the INCREDIBLY, heavily traffic like toll roads that generate the revenues that they do. I avoid them at all

costs myself unless I need them to get to an fro briskly. EZPASS makes it a breeze. Cheating doesn't make anything better. The mistake, if one was made, was that Phil & Alyce "held it" in their hands while passing through "The Gates of Income", thereby confusing the already confused computers. Regardless, The "SIGNAL" sent by the EZ-PASS doesn't really need the license plate to figure out who went through it "un paid." The photo is secondary. It's the SIGNAL that comes From the OWNED pass that goes through primarily! So think about what happens when an EZ-Pass is stolen, and used without your permission! NJ is not the worst. It's second worst, you muffin head. .
