Master Online Special Education Degree, Online College Degrees
Q: Here is a description of a university that offers degrees through distance
learning by email. It is making efforts to attract people with
disabilities. I have no idea about the quality--just passing the info along.
A:This sounds fascinating. I checked out the URL and filed it away for
referral. My daughter has visual and learning disabilities, and
although she is doing well now at a college for students with LD, they
do not offer graduate programs. The one thing that she is getting at
Beacon College that she wouldn't get at an online university is the
social component, which at 19 (20 in June) is of great importance.
You can also call 1 800 777 MIND and ask about
the mind extention University 27 degree programs
that are all done by distance education. Maybe
you might ask also about the MEU web page and online resources.
This is a new umbrella group of Jones Education Network.
Many are part of a consortium of colleges and universities
that all accept each other's credits.
I hope this helps. I will shortly be with them with my new video series
and we will do 33% of the class online as well.
Anyone who does NOT affiliate with their fair use standards of distance
education may well be strongly eliminated from the new accreditting
agency US Dept of Edu has created for online and distance education.
