Man Nautical Jewelry

Q: I would like to contact a man who makes sterling silver rings by "cutting out" a monogram, name, initial, etc., while you wait. His stand is at the Dockside Mall in Cozumel - the pier where ships docked before the new pier was built at Cozumel. I have bought jewelry from this man at this location for several years whenever I have been on a cruise there. He does truly beautiful work. The last time, I bought a ring for my son and had the name of his band put on the ring. Now the other band members want a ring! I have tried contacting the travel associations, Cozumel help sites, and just searching the web. The responses I have gotten tell me that this man probably isn't there anymore as he has a stand and not a store. I'm very frustrated as I know that if I were there today I could probably walk right up to him at the Dockside Mall. He has been there for at least eight years. Any suggestions on how I can contact this man?

A:I'm in a similar situation. When we were in Antigua I saw the perfect (for me) nautical chart

of the whole Caribbean region. It was a British Admiralty Chart. I didn't get it and now I wish I had. So I've got to go back to Antigua and get it. Turns out we're going back this Easter on the Ocean Princess so I'll have my chance to get it again. Oh yeah, I know I could get the chart elsewhere, but then it just wouldn't be the same would it? By the way, how do I know it's a chart? Because I asked the proprietor how much that "map" was, and he replied with his very British accent "Sir, that is a 'chart', not a map." My suggestion to you, book a return to Cozumel. What BETTER reason is there to book an extra cruise. You have to go. You have a "reason".
