Looking For Immigration Attorney In Dallas, TX???
Q: I have asked this before, can anyone recommend an immigration attorney in Dallas - Fort Worth area?
A: -We used Catholic Charities (you don't have to be a Catholic). They have an office in Dallas specialising in immigration and because it's a charity it's cheap - $35 for an initial consultation, when they tell you EVERYTHING that's necessary for your case and let you choose whether you want to go ahead yourself or use them. There are more charges for filing the papers but they're dirt cheap compared to most immigration attorneys. Their phone number is 214-634 7182. Everything they do for you is submitted to their lawyers before filing to make sure there will be no problems. They're a very good alternative. We filed AOS through them in January and had our green cards in our hands by May. -My husband and his family learned this the hard way and did not question his experience. We found out in Feb. 2002 that he was not licensed, although he was stating "his credentials" on all correspondence he sent out. If you happen to choose an attorney to visit for a consultation, I urge you to go to the Texas Bar Association website at www.texasbar.com and do a search on the attorney's name just to make sure they are licensed and can currently practice.
