Law Schools In Los Angeles?

Q: Can somebody recommend law schools in Los Angeles?

A:I attended UCLA (JD, 1976), so I am understandably biased. However, LA is blessed with a number of fine law schools, including UCLA, USC, Loyola, Southwestern and Pepperdine (in Malibu overlooking the Pacific). UCLA and USC get the most national recognition, while the others are known and respected regionally. I think the cheapest correspondence law school is California Correspondence Law School (www.ccls.info). It costs $1,500 per year. The dean's bar record from the Cal Bar website (see below) checks out okay. It's difficult to evaluate the quality of the school because it's too new to have had any students take the General Bar Exam (or the Baby Bar either, for that matter). I heard the school is changing its name to West Coast School of Law.
