A: Take it easy, here in the Northwest the great majority are fine respectful and decent people. And our elected representatives are for the most part fair and open minded. However, here as in any other place, there are some who hate anybody who seems foreign to them. For instance there is a pair of local people who are both deeply involved with the Pastors and by their own admittance communists, who loudly proclaim that Cuban refugees in general, and me in particular, are "Brothel owners". There is also, a small number among the many northwest academics, who also hate Cuban refugees. Thus the statements made are at least plausable.
