Jewelry Preferences
Q: It probably has been discussed a lot in the past (before I started
following this group), but I haven't seen anything about jewelry since
joining up here.
What are your favorites? Where do you shop for jewelry?
A:So far this year I have been bad about buying jewelry...well, considereing
that I have *never* really bought any for myself.
The first thing I bought, in February, was a necklace and a pair of
earrings from St. John. It's a chain of flowers -- the back is gold, and
the flowers are white (the petals) and black (the center) in, I think,
enamel.
Then last month, I spent way too much on a necklace from Chanel. My only
justification is that I wear it every day. It's a gold chain -- thick for
a chain, but not too chunky -- it's not very long, falls around my
collarbone -- with the CC turnlock closure that can be worn in the front
or back (I usually wer it in the back, because I don't want to be so
showy). Since I've started wearing it I've really started wearing more of
my silk shirts, with the top 2 buttons opened...makes me feel feminine.
I guess I don't really have a favorite place....I just like what I see.
Usually I get jewelry from my mother, who uses each birthday to give me a
new piece. It used to be one of those "someday you'll appreciate this"
things, but now I actually aam starting to ...
