Jean Jackets

Denim has long been a favorite item of clothing. Just about everyone has a pair of denim jeans and some people are sworn by wearing only denim. For almost as long as the denim material has been around, the denim or jean jacket has accompanied it. Jean jackets are now designed even for the winter months. Some are lined with flannel and other warm materials. It used to be that jean jackets were virtually unheard of on a woman, but now women make up the largest number of wearers of the jean jacket. Denim is popular for its durability. Many motorcycle riders prefer to wear jeans as they are somewhat more protected when wearing them. Jean jackets are designed differently for men and women. Women prefer that they be more form fitting like a blazer; whereas men prefer them to be bigger and longer. Jean jackets are a part of every culture as is the style that is worn. Jeans have long been a staple among the classic rock and roll crowd and have made its way into the hip hop

culture as well. Hip hop culture requires that the jeans and jean jacket be quite over sized for the men and rather tight or form fitting for females. The jean jacket comes in a just about every color nowadays, whereas they used to be colored in only blue or black. Denim has even gone through fazes where they were stone and acid washed. It was during that time period of the late 80's to early 90's that the jeans started coming in many colors such as pink, indigo, white, and yellow. If history has shown us anything, it is that since the invention of the denim material, jeans have never gone out of style, and the jean jacket will always find its place in fashionable and popular culture.
