Hunter Harrassment
Q: What if there is public hunting land bordering this land, pulling a chainsaw
stunt or something like that may screw up somebody elses hunt. Seems pretty
rude to me. Suprised a hunter would suggest such a thing.
about firing up the ol' chainsaw at about daylght on opening day of deer
season. seems like it wouldn't take too many woodcutting sessions
before they might lok for a quieter place to hunt.....if you don't heat
with wood but have an exceptionally loud boombox and like to listen to
creedance at about daylight.......
A: he only has 10 acres...that is not much room....even if there is public land adjacent to his property, if someone is close enough to be disturbed, then they are way too close to the house to be shooting a high-powered rifle.....i have a neighbor who was in a similar situation a few seasons back who had a round strike his front porch from nearby property.....as a hunter, i would never hunt or shoot that close to someone elses house, and if i was unaware that a house was close by until i heard loud noise, i would be glad to find it out and move on to a safer (for the landowner) location It depends on the state laws that require how far apart the signs are required, & what color they have to be. Do not go out & shoot a gun or make any extreme noise as this would spook the deer & probably run them off of your land, from your post not what you want. Check with your state laws to see if hunting over bait is legal. If it is illegal, I would put out a bunch of corn, apples, & sugar beets in a location away from the property line. The DNR officers will be busy on opening day & I doubt they will "inspect your land of hunters" before the season I'd walk the fence line & look for signs of human movement, footprints, trash etc... then post a sign there.
