How Can I Run A Canadian Credit Report
Q: I am a landlord and have a potential tenant who is moving from Canada (he has a new job from an American employer). I always run credit reports before renting, and because this tenant is just moved from Canada, running a credit report on his SSN/Tax ID is going to be fruitless. I've run numerous Google searches, but haven't come up with any way to run a Canadian credit report. Anyone have any suggestions?

I just googled for "canada credit reports" and the third hit was http://www.equifax.com/EFX_Canada/ That is for either running a credit report against a business, or for getting your own credit report. AFAICT, there's no way to get a report on someone else. However, the issue is moot, as we have decided not to rent to this person (due to issues unrelated to credit or nationality) .
