How A Bill Becomes A Law?
Q: How a bill becomes a law? can anyone explain in detali how a bill becomes a law i need this as soon as possible.
A: if you are in the england, the bill is first presented in the house of commons by the prime-minister. this is cslled the first-reading. in fact the PM brandishes a blank paper which represents the bill, as the very bill is not yet printed at this stage. secondly there is a second reading during which the minister or MP concerned reads his bill in its entirety. then during the third reading, the bill is debated in parliament for a fixed time period and then voted. if passed, then it goes to the house of lords where the same process is repeated. if accepted by both houses, then the bill becomes law. anyway even if the lords don't accept, it becomes law automatically in a year. furthermore, finance bills (budgets) are always accepted by the house of lords by convention. So i hope i've been of some aid to you, my knowledge is limited to the english legal system.
