How To Stop Police Harrasment
Q: A fellow sovereign is scheduled to appear in court in August to answer
traffic tickets. He manages a restaurant. The local police is now coming
into his place of business and harrasing him, arguing about the tickets,
(they were NOT the fuz who issued the tickets) and running off customers.
Is there any type of a notice that he can post at the door or in his
restaruant that will prohibit the police from entering without a warrant?
Should we now try all cases in business establishments and save the court
from overload? Or maybe give the poor prosecutor and judge a day off and
let the police find the case.
Any help and suggestions will be appreciated.
A: By "fellow sovereign", do you mean s/he is Otto of Habsburg, or another pretender to a throne, now managing a restaurant? No? If you hold to some bizarre theory of "sovereign citizen", or whatever you call it, you must recognize that there is no support in conventional law for your position. You can't have it both ways: either be a U.S. citizen, and a citizen of your state, with the privileges and duties that that entails, or be an outlaw -- in which case you cannot logically claim the protections of the U.S. constitution.
