High School Sexual Harassment Policy
Q: Wasn't that a funny prank, back in high school?
A: If the school has a policy on "unwanted touching", this scenerio is less likely to occur since witnesses might actually be able to tell what happened. You also must think about the fact that the girl hauls off and mistakenly "hits" the wrong boy. One would have to question whether her response was reasonable. Perhaps she should have been encouraged (by the policy) to seek other recourse; that way, the innocent boy would not have been harmed. Here, it looks like two wrongs .....the touching....the hitting. The only policy that would discourage such behavior would be one that would suspend her from school, just the same as if she was a boy. As it is, if she complained to the principal about being pinched, the boy would face disciplanary action, probably suspension. She used violence because current "unfair policy" gives *her* that license. By the way she didn't hit the wrong boy, she felt no remorse and even laughed at his misfortune. The bully from the boy's point of view, is a stud from her's. You clipped too much! I
