Heartburn Home Cure
Q: I've had heartburn for four days straight now. It's very odd, since I only
get it when I am pregnant (which is possible, but I wouldn't be far along
enough to have symptoms yet, so I don't think that's it). Anyway, my diet
has only changed in that I am not eating as much , due to being extremely
busy. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any home remedies?
Can anyone in the group help me please?
A:Mix about a tablespoon of baking soda into a glass of water and drink it.
Tastes gross, but it works.
Be sure to have the heartburn checked. It could be anything from a peptic
ulcer to a heart attack. And the heart attack is not to scare you, but they
happen to women at every age.
Also, when you're not eating enough, the stomach acid can churn like crazy.
Often, eating is the relief.
Drinking water seems to help sometimes.
DH has been getting heartburn lately (penalty for getting older?) and it
happens when he eats a lot of high fat foods. He is slowly coming around to
the fact that a healthful diet might be a good thing.
