Heartburn And Reflux Remedy Report

Q: My heartburn isn't really bad yet, but it would be nice to be prepared with something just in case it takes a turn for the worse. The deal is, I need something that has no sugar and preferable no aspartame, so Tums are out. Also, it needs to be low in carbohydrates and have little or no natural sugars (like fructose and lactose). Milk is completely out because it really raises my sugar levels. Oh, and I've been eating almonds (which I heard help) with many of my snacks, and maybe this has been helping somewhat, but just in case they can't help with the advanced stages of this pregnancy induced situation of misery, I need other ideas. If anyone can think of anything, no matter how off the wall, please let me know. Also, does Malanta and those products help with heartburn and does anyone know if they have sugar in them? And, do they generally cause a bit of constipation (a side effect I'd much rather avoid if possible)? can anyone give me a heartburn and acid remedy to cure this problem?

A:What about a rice or soy milk? Not sure what kind of sugars are in there. How about a natural yogurt? My doctor mentioned that there are sugar-free ones out there. She also said that a small

amount of aspartame would be fine. Personally aspartame doesn't agree with me so I stay away from it I don't get a lot of heartburn but when I do I like something to coat...like milk so maybe you should try to think of some 'coating' foods. :) Let's see, I'm really racking my brain here to try and help you out so don't think I'm too off my rocker...mashed potatoes (personally a real pregnancy craving for me)...maybe too high in carbs bananas...too much sugar?...they do work for me though sleep with your upper body elevated..put some books under the matress or get one of those wedge pillows definitely watch what you eat what about high-fibre breads? this is hard homemade applesauce
