Heartburn And Nausea

Q: I have had heartburn and nausea in my second month of pregnancy, luckily I have not had morning sickness that bad since then. It sucks. I tried three different meds the Dr gave me, and a list of home remedies including vitamin B6, ginger tea, lemon, and something called Ematrol. I was about ready to put a chicken on my head and dance naked on the lawn. The only thing at all that I found to help a little was a teaspoon of baking soda with 8 oz of warm water or a glass of warm milk. Next to prayer it was my only hope. And remember that stress is the worse thing for stomach upset can anyone give me other suggestions please?.

A:I am so sorry to hear what a rough time you are having, especially in your 6 mo. I am only 2 1/2-3 mo. Unlike my first pregnancy (never felt any signs of pregnancy discomfort), I am nauseas morning, noon and night. I'm not throwing up, but sometimes wish I would to get it over with. The only thing that takes away my nausea is eating very, very small snacks i.e., crakers, bread and anything bland I am still throwing

up from morning sickness at 6 months and now I am getting heartburn which is so bad that I am throwing up whenever I lie down. I was up barfing my stomach up at 2:30am this morning from heartburn and then up again at 7am with morning sickness. God it is awful. Everyone say avoid spicy food, eat small meals etc etc but I am doing all that and it is still awful. I had potato soup (figuring it was mild) and a turkey sandwich Other than chewing my way through boxes of Mylanta and antacids did anyone find anything helped? This is my third pregnancy and I am suffering more and worse with this one than the previous two and spent the remainder of last night with insomnia or crying
