Has Anyone Here Had Experience With Using CD-R Business Card Media?

Q: Has anyone here had experience with using CD-R Business Card media? I am looking at the possibility of using this as a means of disseminating up 30 Mb of data to clients. The idea seems good and there seems to be a bit of product out there but I have yet to talk to someone who has done/is doing it. Are there any special needs with burners, CD burning software etc? Any brands better than others? Any to avoid? Any tricks?

A: They are fine, especially if you have a lot of presentation in it, or a slide show or Shockwave or something. There used to be an issue with players that didn't have a place to hold the smaller diameter disc, but I haven't seen one of those players in a long time. The kicker is that you'll pay more for those just for getting the cute size. If you really have 30 MB of stuff to show, maybe 60 is better. Using a regular CD also doesn't suggest any lack of sophistication or impressiveness. The biggest mistake I have seen with these cute little guys is getting art onto the disc itself. If this is a creative outlet, they practically beg for an impressive sticker, but most of the ones I have seen had nothing but a signature and title.
