Q: Is anyone else a bit suspicious about this ? a) The scenario it describes is almost incredible (the "almost" is there because it is set in California). b) The original poster has not responded to any of the factual queries posted since then. c) the lack of detail: *who* filed harassment charges, and *what* were the charges?

A: I think there is a big difference if another employee just happened to come upon you verses accompaning you or being invited by you. Just seeing you at a c/o spot wouldn't bring sexual harrasment charges. the company hierarchy uses sexual means toward a person lower in company hierarchy to achieve a certain goal (could be to make one do something, or could be for sexual gratification). Basically, when a boss wants to be pleased and knows he/she can get away with this. Inappropriate sexual behavior between peers should be ruled as indicent behavior, not sexual harrasment. I took a "Sex and Sexuality" course in the college a few years ago. Just for fun.
