Harassment By Debt Collectors For Nothing

Q: Hello, got this one through the moderators at uk.legal.moderation twice>but as with so many others it never appeared in that ng so it is not quite cross-posted. Anyone know to what bodies I can complain about harassment?

A:Say no more. I have Fresh and sometimes they used to debit an amount from my card claiming that I had spent beyond my top up - without my authorisation. Now they simply bar the phone. I used to receive a text message warning of a low credit. Now they don't bother to warn at all. After topping up - which takes a few hours to action - I then have to reset all the call diverts to voice mail. ALSO their top up 0800 service is appalling. If you make a mistake or have an enquiry they say to press * for a customer service agent. If you do that you're told that no-one is available, 'good bye.' I tried 0800 and opted for a phone upgrade just to see what would happen - and it still cut me off. Complaints about this are ignored. In my Fresh contract I opted for a monthly itemised bill. OK - it would costs £1. But for the last year they haven't bothered to send one. On the TalkTalk front my very aged aunt was getting sales calls almost everyday for at least the last year of her life. despite requests for them to stop they persisted. That's harrassment in my book. They're an appalling company - but so long as they makes profits nothing is going to change.
